If you’ve been itching for an excuse to bust out the ol’ hidden blade again, you’re in luck since Ubisoft has announced the fourth community event for the multiplayer portion of Assassin’s Creed 3 titled ‘Treason.’
Starting tomorrow, January 18th, players can participate in specially designated Wolf Pack matches with the goal of eliminating NPC traitors within their ranks. There will be three different goals and corresponding rewards to earn; a participation goal (earned simply for participating in the event), an individual goal (which must be met by each player individually), and a community goal (which is measured by the cumulative results of all players participating).
According to the official event post Ubisoft made on their forums, the participation goal will reward a unique profile title, the individual goal will reward a unique relic to display on your character, and the community goal will reward both a double XP boost and a 40% discount on all Warrior packs.
The double XP boost and Warrior packs discount will take effect on Monday, January 21st (or whenever the community reaches the goal if they reach it after the 21st) and will last until the event’s conclusion on Wednesday, January 23rd.
Personally I’m super-stoked we’re getting a Wolf Pack-centric event as it’s really the only mode I enjoy playing in Assassin’s Creed 3’s multiplayer (I’m not a big fan of competitive modes). So mark your calendars for tomorrow, I’ll see you guys in the Animus-generated streets of colonial Boston.
