If you were worried that the rumors about a console port for the 3DS exclusive Resident Evil: Revelations weren’t true, you can put your fears to rest as Capcom has officially confirmed the console version’s existence.
The exact nature of the console port’s availability is a little erratic but it is as follows:
- On May 21st in North America and May 24th in Europe, a retail disc version of the game will be available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U.
- A downloadable version will also be available on May 21st for both PlayStation 3 and PC.
- Downloadable versions for Xbox 360 and Wii U have been confirmed as well but Capcom couldn’t give a specific date of availability.
- The game will have a price point of $49.99
For now Capcom is keeping quiet on whether or not the console port will have any new features or modes but considering Revelations was one of the most well-received Resident Evil games ever since Resident Evil 4 and that the game isn’t coming out until May, there’s still plenty of time for Capcom to unveil a few new additions for the console port.
