Fans Not Impressed With “Kick Ass” Aliens: Colonial Marines Trailer
Unlike the gameplay seen at NYCC, and discussed in my preview of the game, Aliens: Colonial Marines, the graphics shown in the recent “Kick Ass” trailer posted by Sega appear to be less than stellar.
The dialogue in this trailer was full of cliche one-liners that on might hear in a low-budget war movie. This, coupled with the graphics that look like they belong in the first Mass Effect game have many people reportedly canceling their pre-orders according to many YouTube comments.
According to Koalition, the game’s writer, Mikey Neumann, immediately tweeted after the trailer went up saying, “The dialog in the Aliens trailer today is not from the game. I also did not write it. Love you!” Clearly, Neumann wanted to separate himself from the simple dialogue from the trailer. But, as quickly as the tweet was put up, it was taken down. As of the posting of this article, there have been no more comments about the trailer made by the writer.
Aliens: Colonial Marines will release for the XBox 360, PS3 and PC on February 12, with a Wii U version to follow later. You can read more about it in our preview.
