New Injustice: Gods Among Us Story Trailer Showcases Odd Alliances
It’s no secret that Mortal Kombat creator NetherRealm Studios’ new DC Heroes brawler Injustice: Gods Among Us has some of DC’s greatest heroes (and villains) turning on each other, but this new trailer reveals that strange times call for strange allies.
The trailer does a good job highlighting the fact that all of the game’s heroes are being forced to pick sides but their choices may not be as clear-cut as you’d first think. As usual Batman and Superman appear to be at odds (nothing new there) and it would seem both Flash and Wonder Woman have allied themselves with the Man of Steel (and is that Hawk Girl I spy in Superman’s corner as well?).
Siding with the Dark Knight are both Green Arrow and Cyborg (so why the heck are Cyborg and Nightwing fighting?) and….Harley Quinn? I guess it makes sense considering Joker’s too busy off doing his own thing which includes blowing up The Daily Planet. The clips of Catwoman fighting both Quinn and Batman lead me to believe Superman must have bribed her with catnip.
It’s a little harder to tell in the trailer which side characters like Deathstroke, Green Lantern, and Lex Luthor are taking but there’s still plenty of time for speculation before the game’s April 16th release date.
