Deus Ex: Human Defiance Trademarked By Square Enix
Deus Ex: Human Defiance might the next game in the Deus Ex series.
Square Enix filled a trademark this week for Deus Ex: Human Defiance. As of now we aren’t sure if the copyright claim is for a sequel to 2011’s Deus Ex: Human Revolution, or if it is the title for the recently announced movie. I wouldn’t be surprised however if this was a sequel to Human Revolution since it sold over 2 million copies worldwide.
Deus Ex: Human Defiance could refer to the purist activists from Human Revolution. Maybe the main character this time around could be a human purist out to attack the various coorporations found in the Deus Ex universe. We will most likely not be playing as the main character from Human Revolution.
Square Enix hasn’t commented on the trademark yet, maybe we’ll hear more about it at E3. I also wouldn’t be surprised if Deus Ex: Human Defiance was a next gen title.
