Deus Ex: Human Revolution was one of the best stealth RPG’s of this generation. The main character of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Adam Jensen who was voiced by actor Elias Toufexis was actually doing another game as well, that game was FarCry 3. But due to voice issues, was fired from the job.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution‘s Elias Toufexis was at the MCM Comic Con in London and revealed that despite his talent as a voice actor he’s gotten fired from jobs because of his distinct voice. He revealed that one of those games was FarCry 3 as Jason Brody, the game’s protagonist.

Toufexis was working on FarCry 3 for two years but once Deus Ex came out Ubisoft became worried that people would be confused in terms of protagonist. Toufexis said that his unique voice has “lost me jobs.” “In fact, I shouldn’t say this, but there’s a game called Far Cry 3, which I’m sure you guys know, where I had played Jason Brody,” said Toufexis.

“I played him for two years, did the voice and when Deus Ex came out they replaced me because they were nervous that… ‘we don’t want people playing this game and thinking of another game.’

“It’s justifiable,” he said, “it’s understandable, but my normal voice is what I used for that character too. So now it’s like I’m losing work because Jensen is so popular.”

Deus Ex: Human Revolution was released in 2011 and the Director’s Cut which features improved boss battles and other improvements from the game was released recently.
