Konami has confirmed that Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes will be released in Spring 2014.
Creator Hideo Kojima also added in details that tied the link between Ground Zeroes and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
“The advanced capabilities of the FOX Engine have allowed me to tell the new story in a new way,”. “There will be a significant difference in what The Phantom Pain brings to the series, so we want to ease players into the new open world environment and its potential. As such, Ground Zeroes has been designed to introduce key elements, allowing them to fully benefit from all that the new game will offer.”
Ground Zeroes consists of one mission – a Cuban rescue mission, which was previewed extensively at the Tokyo Game Show 2013. Ground Zeroes is an open world Metal Gear title, meaning that there will be more to do than just the mission.
Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes will be out on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox 360 next Spring. The title will cost £19.99 ($19.99) for the current generation and £29.99 ($29.99) on PS4 and Xbox One. They will be a great deal cheaper in the U.S than the UK.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is likely to launch in the following year.
