Blizzard has released Warlords of Draenor alpha keys to a select number of users.
Some users are claiming that their Battle.net Launcher contains a separate Warlords of Draenor client, but cannot launch it without receiving an error. Blizzard community manager Bashiok posted more information about the beta on the official Battle.Net forums. “Warlords of Draenor alpha invites have gone out to a small number of individuals for our first phase of external testing, historically dubbed “Friends & Family” for its limited scope of availability to Blizzard employees’ friends and family, as well as some streamers, press outlets, and fansites.” Bashiok writes “This initial wave is extremely limited, and we’ll be sending additional invites as testing progresses.”
Blizzard also warns that they are not sending out physical keys, an instead using Battle.net to send invites directly. They warn that anyone offering keys for the alpha or beta is scamming. Warlords of Draenor is set to be released sometime this year.
