“My Career Mode”

My Career mode is the official mode for your created wrestlers in WWE 2k15. You start off as a rookie in NXT, WWE’s official developmental territory, and your primary goal is to make it into the WWE Hall of Fame. Expect to see a similar look to NBA 2k14‘s My Career mode but in a WWE tailored environment.

“2k Showcase”

WWE ’13 and WWE 2k14 had historic story modes that highlighted things like the Attitude Era or 30 Years of WrestleMania where you had historical objectives. That returns in WWE 2k15 in the 2k Showcase which will focus on heated rivalries. Right now there are only two showcases available on-disc. CM Punk and John Cena’s battles over the two year period of 2011 and 2013. But instead of pay-per-views and WresleManias you will be playing on Raws and Smackdowns instead. Expect the production quality and value of WWE ’13 and WWE 2k14 in terms of video production. The second rivalry is the much loved Triple H and Shawn Michaels feud from 2002 to 2004. 2k and WWE haven’t ruled out doing more as downloadable content which have led to numerous wishlists for rivalries/showcases wanting to be seen. The only downside is that 2k Showcase won’t be available on last-gen consoles. In total there will be 33 matches between the two rivalries.

“My Questions”

I myself have questions regarding details of the game, mostly about Universe Mode 6 or 7.0 and, more importantly, the creation suites. With the advent of current-gen technology I believe that the Create a Wrestler mode will look better, you will be able to store more CAW’s.

Hopefully in the next two months we will find out more information about WWE 2k15‘s Universe Mode, Creation Suites and 2k Showcase.
